Host a Birthday Gift Drive or Packing Event where you and your closest friends, co-workers, or classmates can come together to purchase and wrap birthday gifts for DOROT's Birthday Visiting program.
Each year DOROT Volunteers go on hundreds of birthday visits into the homes of older
adults. For these visits, we provide volunteers with a Birthday Package.
Inside of the birthday package there is:
- A Birthday Cake
- A Homemade Card
AND...
A Birthday Gift!
This is where you come in. We are looking for donations
of birthday gifts.
Some examples of gifts are:
Mugs ● Tea/Hot Chocolate ● Bath Products ● Planners ● Crossword puzzles ● Books ● Pens ● Non-slip socks ● Glasses holder ● Lip balm ● Lotion
All donations must be new and gift wrapped. We welcome donations from volunteer groups.

We serve the Jewish and wider community, bringing the generations together in a mutually beneficial partnership of elders, volunteers and professionals. Our work provides an effective model for others. DOROT is headquartered in Manhattan with an additional site in Westchester County.
