Greetings!
Companion Hospice is looking for dedicated and compassionate volunteers who can provide companionship through socialization to our terminally ill patients. This person will be providing one on one care to assist the team with the patient's psycho-social needs. Volunteers will be independently visiting patients where they reside.
Qualifications:
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must have some experience in working with the elder community (family)
-Must complete a background check
-Must complete a medical screening

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
