Plant This, Not That is a brand-new, one day event hosted by the Florida State Parks in honor of National Public Lands Day. The goal is promote the connection between people and the environment by inviting everyone to get outside!
Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up for the event, breaking down after the event, and/or for parking during the event. No prior knowledge of the park or of plants is required to work this event.
The event will take place at Smith Creek Landing, located on Highbridge Road, directly across from High Bridge Park. The address is 40 Highbridge Road, Ormond by the Sea, FL 32176.

Mission Statement
The mission statement is to promote activities to conserve, enhance, and interpret cultural, historical, natural, scenic, and recreational resources of the Tomoka Basin State Parks.
Description
The Friends of Tomoka Basin State Parks, Inc. is a community based Citizen Support Organization whose purpose is to support the parks through volunteerism and fundraising. Some goals include trail maintenance, conserving plant and wildlife habitats, educational programs/classes, volunteer recruitment, outreach events, and development of historic interpretive sites.
Benefits of membership include 12 free visits annually to the park, Friends Quarterly newsletter, invitation to Friends' only events, and a membership card.
