Is food and friendship important in your life?

Our memory care units are seeking compassionate, understanding people to participate in a regularly occurring dining assistance volunteer program.

Eating together and socializing is an important aspect of our lives which does not go away with age. Having a regular meal with a friend can be the highlight of our week. We are looking for people to commit to a regular meal during the week to spend with one or two of our residents who need assistance with their meals. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner-whatever fits your schedule. No food preparation or clean up duties required, just come to chat with a new friend and help them to eat in the way that is best for them.

This volunteer position requires a specific dining training that will be given on the first day.

We are looking for someone who can commit to one meal per week, any day at 8am, 12pm, or 5pm. Meals typically last between 30-45 minutes.
