You can bring so much comfort to this Spanish speaking lady stuck in a nursing home. It is so boring to see the same four walls all day long. A visitor is so appreciated and remembered. This lady is Spanish speaking, but if you are not, we still need you for other people and families in the Valley. Please give this opportunity a try. Others may also want a visit: You would be the volunteer covering the San Fernando Valley when there is a need. We do respect your time, and you can always say "no" to any assignment. Thank you so much for considering giving your time. The fact that you are on this site says a lot about you.

SVH believes in the sacred dignity of human life and that a terminally ill person has the right to decide and to direct their own care in their home or in the environment of choice. SVH provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families emphasizing quality of life when the quantity of life is limited. Our professional health care team includes our Medical Director, attending physicians, social workers, registered nurses, home health aids, chaplain, and volunteers who all strive to work together with the patient and family members with the ultimate goal of keeping the patient comfortable, free as possible from pain and anxiety, allowing the patient to die peacefully and with dignity.
