During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Vigil Volunteers are needed in the Lehigh Valley and Carbon County area to serve terminally ill patients and families. We will provide the education and training to you.
Vigil Volunteers sit with patients and families when the patient is actively dying. They may provide education, information, guidance, and companionship. Vigil Volunteers are there if a patient has no family, if the family is unable to sit at bedside, or if the patient/family/facility doesn't want the patient to die alone.
Vigil Volunteers are specially trained to provide support to families and patients during the last hours, providing a calm, comforting presence during the patient's last journey.
