Activities with Seniors

At Arbor Hospice, our volunteers support our nonprofit organization in a number of ways. We are seeking a volunteer who is interested in assisting with activities with older adults, such as bingo, ice cream socials, veterans recognition ceremonies, and more. These activities take place at senior centers and senior living communities throughout Washtenaw County, and the volunteer would be asked to travel to locations such as Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Ann Arbor, Whitmore Lake, and Ypsilanti. The time commitment is approximately once per month, and for 2-3 hours at a time. This person would serve as an ambassador of our organization, interacting with seniors and staff members from other organizations.

All of our volunteers complete an application, interview, and receive thorough training. This is a great opportunity to support a hospice organization, without visiting hospice patients.
