Sort and repack bulk food into family-sized portions for distribution across our statewide network of 375 food banks, feeding programs and high need schools. Individuals and groups of all sizes welcome!
Please note that this is a warehouse environment. Volunteer activities involves standing and some light lifting.
Shifts:
Friday morning, 10am-12pm
Friday afternoon, 12pm-2pm

Description
Northwest Harvest collects and distributes food to more than 375 independent food banks, hot meal programs, and high need schools across Washington State without proof of need. We provide over 2 million meals every month to individuals and families in need. We also run one food bank of our own, the Cherry Street Food Bank in Seattle.
Northwest Harvest is unable to provide court-related community service.

- Must be at least 9
- Our minimum ager for volunteering is 9 years. Youth between 9-15 years must have a parent/guardian volunteer alongside them. Youth between 16-17 years of age may volunteer on their own with a permission form signed by a parent/guardian.
