Northwest Harvest’s SODO Community Market is a no-cost grocery, offering guests a dignified shopping experience focused on hospitality, customer service and community connections.
We’re in particular need for volunteers to help out on our Friday morning shift, 7:45am-11:00am. Duties include greeting and checking-in guests, keeping displays stocked with product, assisting shoppers, repacking staples and sorting donations. Individuals and groups welcome. Please note: Due to the small size of the market, we have a limit of 8 volunteers per group.
- Orientations: We ask all individual volunteers to attend an orientation prior to their first shift, and this must be scheduled in advance. Volunteer groups receive an orientation at the start of the shift.
Upcoming orientations:
Tuesday, October 15, 10am-11am
Thursday, November 7, 2pm-3pm
Tuesday, November 19, 10am-11am
Thursday, December 5, 2pm-3pm
Tuesday, December 17, 10am-11am
