Empower people with developmental disabilities through reading! Meet at a local library and read with someone with a developmental disability who has a desire to become a better reader. Meet once a week or every other week for an hour. Tips, tools and training provided. We can match you with someone who lives in your community close to your local library.
We all want a chance to learn, grow, have fun and share our talents with others, don't we? People with developmental disabilities share our enjoyment of these activities just like typical people. Unfortunately, transportation is a barrier for many people with developmental disabilities. You can open up unlimited opportunities by providing companionship and a ride!
Become a Community Friend Volunteer and help someone who is looking to get to experience their local library and by reading!
