Thanks for your interest in volunteering for the 42nd Mill Valley Film Festival! Every October, more than 500 dedicated volunteers join in our efforts to celebrate and showcase over 200 independent and international films. Our volunteers assist with everything from taking tickets and ushering in our theaters in Mill Valley, San Rafael, Larkspur, and Berkeley, to bussing at events and managing the door at the filmmaker lounges.
Why volunteer at MVFF? Because eleven days of film, music, panels, and great conversation in a beautiful setting invigorates and inspires you and because you want to do your part in sharing these stories and experiences with the world!
What to expect:
- Be a key participant in supporting the California Film Institute’s nonprofit mission to celebrate and promote film as art and education
- Have fun and get the opportunity to meet new people
Requirements:
- Attend our volunteer orientation and training in September
- Commit to volunteer for a minimum of two 4-6 hour shifts
Perks include:
- MVFF42 T-shirt
- One MVFF voucher for every 4 hour shift completed
- Invitation to the pre-festival volunteer screening
- Invitation to the post-festival Volunteer Appreciation Party
- Ticket giveaways to other screenings throughout the festival
