After being trained, our volunteers will help families by staying with patients while family members run errands, attend their appointments, or even just take break. While volunteers are with patients they can be asked to do the following:

  • Listen and support the patient
  • Read and sit with patients
  • Prepare meals
  • Simply "being there" for a patient

About Trinity Hospice

Location:

690 Medical Park Dr., Aiken, SC 29801, US

Mission Statement

At Trinity Home Health & Hospice of Aiken, we are more than an organization of healthcare professionals - we are proud members of communities across West South Carolina. Quality service is our mission. And to us, service means getting to know our patients on a personal level. We serve in Aiken County, Barnwell County, and Edgefield County.

Description

The importance of our volunteers cannot be overstated. Without volunteers, we could not provide the variety or the scope of services that are so urgently needed for patients and their families. Trinity Hospice has been in our community since 1984 and this year was voted "Aiken's Choice" for Hospice Program. We are in need of volunteers who can provide support for our patients that includes services like listening, providing companionship, or simply "being there" for them. Volunteers will be provided training before being with any patient. Hospice volunteers often say their experience is personally rewarding and emotionally meaningful to help those in need at a critical point in their lives. We serve patients in our Aiken, Barnwell, and Edgefield Counties.
