Pawsitive Alliance

Pawsitive Alliance, a volunteer driven tax-exempt nonprofit organization, is having an open call for Board Members, especially those with backgrounds in communications/marketing, event planning, finance, veterinary services, working with low income/homeless communities, animal shelter and rescue work, and animal care.

As a Washington statewide organization, we welcome individuals who represent diverse backgrounds and geographic locations across the state and beyond. Founded in 2005, Pawsitive Alliance works to end the homelessness of cats and dogs across the state of Washington by increasing shelter adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and helping to keep pets and people together.

Pawsitive Alliance’s major adoption campaigns for 2021 include expanding our adoption events (virtual); and, expanding our "Why Not Me?" pets campaign, which helps long-term and harder to adopt homeless animals find their forever homes. Our goal is to connect people and pets for the mutual benefit of both. Our other programs work to provide pet care items to homeless and extremely low income individuals with a focus on pet ID and medical care, as well as increase low-cost spay and neuter surgeries in areas of the state with little access. Since 2005, we have helped over 8,100 animals find homes and facilitated thousands of spay and neuter surgeries.

Pawsitive Alliance’s biggest strengths are marketing, organizing, fundraising, collaborating and being a catalyst for change for pets in need. We work with over 50+ shelter partners, in addition to many other corporate, media, and nonprofit partners, including a full media partnership with KIRO-TV in Seattle.

The Pawsitive Alliance Board of Directors is a group of committed individuals, investing their time and resources to support our mission. Ideal candidates are committed to our mission, able to represent the organization in the community, are ready to engage in fundraising and networking, and bring a well-rounded set of skills to a unique and hard-working team.

About Pawsitive Alliance

Location:

14150 NE 20th St F1-233, Bellevue, WA 98007, US

Mission Statement

Pawsitive Alliance's mission is to help end the killing of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington by increasing adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and improving pet retention.

Description

Pawsitive Alliance hosts large scale adoption events throughout the Puget Sound region. In addition, we are best known for our #whynotMEpets program that helps animals with barriers to adoption find their forever homes. Our pet retention and spay/neuter programs help lower income individuals keep pets in their homes. Since 2005, we have helped over 7700 animals get adopted, placed over 200 harder to adopt animals through the #whynotMEprogram, and spay/neutered thousands of animals.
