Hello!
At Priority Hospice, we care deeply about our patients and do everything we can to keep them comfortable. Part of our care team is our volunteers as they are the heart of hospice. Our volunteers provide reassurance and comfort to our patients and their families during this stage in life. By joining our program, you will be able to set your own schedule and engage in diversional activities with our patients. These activities can include reading, writing, watching TV/ movies, and playing board/ card games. You can also help their families by running errands for them, do light household cleaning, gardening or providing caregiver relief.
Anyone is eligible to apply. All direct patient volunteers must pass a background check, undergo a medical screening, complete our training (up to 2 weeks to complete depending on your schedule), and have a reliable form of transportation. Spanish speakers are needed, but it is not a requirement.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to email me at kenneth@priorityhospiceservices.com or call (626) 335-1082 and ask for Kenneth (Volunteer Coordinator).
Thank you, I hope to hear from you soon!
