I am looking for motivated individuals with an interest in cross-cultural awareness, education, and working with high school students to join my team as CIEE Local Coordinators! This is fun, mission-minded work that provides a great opportunity for supplemental income and the opportunity to earn world-wide travel perks! This year our national meeting is in San Antonio, and the international trip is to Quito, Ecuador!

Our Local Coordinators play an important role in our cultural exchange program by providing local support to our high school foreign exchange students, their host families and their schools. Candidates for the Local Coordinator position are creative, patient, persistent, objective, and have strong communication skills.

Local Coordinators work from home and on their own time, determining the number of students they want to place and support. Many of our coordinators have full time jobs, are stay at home moms and dads, or are retired. This is a fun and unique opportunity to connect with your community and make an impact on the world!

CIEE offers a competitive compensation package to Local Coordinators, including a $100 host family vetting fee, $500 placement fee and lump supervision payment each semester for every student. The CIEE annual meetings give you the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with over 400 Local Coordinators across the country as well as participate in personal and professional development trainings. The chance to see the world is one of the most exciting perks of this opportunity!

As a Local Coordinator, you:

  • Recruit and select host families in your area
  • Match students with host families
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools
  • Provide guidance to students and host families throughout the experience
  • Work with like-minded people to expand the impact of intercultural exchange

If you or someone you know would be interested in this world-changing, mission-minded work, please contact me directly at adericotte@ciee.org or begin an application at https://beacon.ciee.org/signupsignin and I will be in touch very soon with more information.
