Join the MomsBloom village and make a difference in your community! You can develop a long-lasting bond with a family of a newborn in your community while providing the necessary support they need during their postpartum journey.

Our volunteers provide non-judgmental support to families with a newborn by doing hands on tasks in the home and provide companionship to the parent(s). The in-home support role is the living, breathing part of our mission that promotes community connection.
Spending just 2-4 hours once/week with a family for a 12 week commitment in the family's home will help decrease their stress, increase their confidence as a parent and their children will have better health outcomes because of you! Days and times per week are flexible with your schedule.

Description
MomsBloom connects community volunteers with families of newborns to provide hands on and emotional support in the family's home. The support may include light housework, caring for baby so the parent(s) has time for self care, caring for siblings, meal preparations, adult companionship, etc.
We accept referrals from families that are expecting and up to three months of age. At this time, we provide services to families within the greater Grand Rapids area. At times, we are able to provide support for families of older babies (up to 12 months) and for families outside of the Grand Rapids area if volunteers are available.
