Bridgeway’s Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Program provides women and children with safe housing at two confidential locations in Saint Charles and Lincoln County. Our domestic violence shelter’s residential services are typically four-six week programs with the primary goal being to obtain safe and stable housing and becoming self-sufficient. Our programs provide additional services to both residential and outreach clients.

The Support Group Facilitator and Support Volunteer holds weekly support groups for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. During these group sessions, survivors talk about their past experiences and share their path towards recovery. The support groups enable survivors to share their experiences, feelings and provide them with support to overcome their fears and feelings of isolation. Group facilitators supervise these groups, lead the discussion, and teach concepts that help survivors thrive after trauma and abuse.

The Support Group Facilitator and Support Volunteer will be responsible for leading/facilitating our weekly Domestic Violence support group or providing additional support to the group facilitator.

There is also the opportunity for qualified individuals to provide specialized support groups to clients on topics such as grief and loss, parenting concerns, recovery, etc.

If interested in volunteering with us, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator for more information on how to become a volunteer with us. We would love to get you started on the process, so please let us know if you'd like to be a part of our volunteer team and when you might be available for an interview.
