InspiredIM (rebranded from AlterMed Research Foundation) enables education, patient access, research, and the integration of evidence-based integrative / holistic medicine into conventional healthcare for the optimum wellness of all people. Imagine someday everyone is free of cancer and chronic illness with evidence-based personalized integrative medicine and technologies.
We are seeking a positive, energetic, dependable, competent, and experienced marketing director to help with marcom responsibilities for our non-profit: to communicate our messaging skillfully (both verbal and in writing) and target the like-minded audience so we are successful with engagement and funding to carry out our mission, create / implement marketing plan, update our website in a timely manner, increase social media presence and followers, design marketing flyers / posters / brochures, increase attendance to our conference, fundraising and educational events, promote InspiredIM on social media, etc.
This person must be able to be a leader and a follower as well as a doer, to have a passion in bridging of both conventional medicine and evidence-based integrative / holistic medicine for the most effective healthcare, and be versed in computer / graphics technologies and software for marketing activities. This person must already know how to use GoogleAd dollars, GoogleAds, and / or have a strong desire to learn. As a bonus, Marketing Director with experience in using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for outreach will be great. This person needs to demonstrate the ability to envision a successful event before it happens, sustain the vision, hold the faith, target leads, know how to leverage and expand followers, and work with others to realize successful events.
A background check is required.
This volunteer must be a US Citizen and / or a legal US resident (preferably located in Northern Colorado)

Position Description
InspiredIM is a relatively small nonprofit delivering high impact. The organization is relatively flat in hierachy with increasing volunteers to support our July 11-13 2025 Colorado Integrative Medicine Conference on the horizon. The Marketing Director has to be able to develop high level marketing plan and implement strategies consistent with InspiredIM's leadership. The marketing director will be the leader in generating and maintaining excitement for our conference. This person will build like-minded communities, provide leadership in awareness-raising and promotional plans and activities required to enable exponential growth in the public support of InspiredIM’s cause and sustainability. This position requires a creative and analytical thinker who is capable of working independently and in a team to develop, deploy and improve effective marketing initiatives and collateral. The Marketing Director must perform creative research to target the interested attendees / exhibitors / sponsors / donors for our conferences and patient access program via digital marketing through Google Ads, social media and other communication vehicles to meet our program goals and budget.
Position Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Design and implement marketing and awareness raising plans for AlterMed’s programs and events.
* Help to increase community awareness of AlterMed’s mission.
* Measure marketing advertising effectiveness in terms of views and engagement
* Build and lead a community of marketers for InspiredIM.
* Direct and supervise InspiredIM’s efforts in creative media planning and placement, internet and web-based marketing, social media (FB, X, Instagram, LinkedIn), promotions, events, and community/sponsor relations. Some examples of marketing collateral for design, review, and improvement include: sponsorship kits, exhibitor applications, press releases, news articles, brochures, promotional literature, PSA, and radio announcements.
Position Requirements
Education: College degree in marketing, advertising or business administration preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in one of the following:
· Director of Marketing / Marketing Communications role
· Directly related sales promotion field
· Non-profit community awareness building experience is a plus.

· Have a good business sense.
· Prioritization skills in alignment with InspiredIM’s mission and goals set by upper management.
· Extensive knowledge of print and broadcast media; direct and database marketing; internet marketing and on-line media; and advertising production, preferably in a non profit context.
· Efficient use of Microsoft Windows-based computer applications and open office marketing collateral creation tools.
