Group Assisting with Yard Care
Neighborhood families assist an elder with yard care.

Do you love being outdoors? Would you like to make a senior smile from ear to ear? Looking for volunteer who lives within a couple miles who can check in on and help maintain large shrubs 1-2x a month. She loves her yard with beautiful roses and rhododendrons but when she tries to clip them, she falls. She doesn't want to move to assisted living because of her yard she's worked so hard on.

Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, assists low-income elders and persons living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

Description

Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services. We are a Washington state-wide program, started as a safety net for older adults and adults with disabilities who do not qualify for state-paid chore assistance and cannot afford to hire assistance.
