FAR Fusion Band is in need of a volunteer that is ready to rock out! This band is made of people that are differently abled and have a love of music!! They need someone to help keep a strong and solid beat throughout the rehearsals. FAR Fusion meets on Monday's from 5:30-6:30. The group runs from September 9th through June 15th. If you are able to come spend one hour a week rocking out with some amazing individuals, please contact me!

Description

FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing a space for folks with special needs to enrich their lives. Founded in 1951, we work with clients of all ages, introducing them to new activities and experiences, helping them gain a deeper understanding of themselves and showing them new ways to communicate how they feel.

Through the dedication of our highly-trained staff and the support of partners and collaborating organizations throughout Metro Detroit, we offer music, art, dance/movement and recreational therapy for children and adults with a variety of special needs diagnoses. We go into schools in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties to provide music, art, dance/movement and recreational therapy for students receiving special education services. We work to expose our clients to new avenues of expression which serve to improve how they relate and interact with their environments and families.
