Do you want to help with hunger relief? ACCFP is now seeking community volunteers to aid in a variety of services.

Every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. The AMANI Community Food Pantry provide a healthy and nutritious supply of food for hungry children, families and seniors in the surrounding 53206 area.

ACCFP Milwaukee is currently looking for Food Selection Assistant. This volunteer candidate will assist with the enrollment functions for AMANI Community Food Pantry.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Position: Food Selection Assistant - Assist families with the food selection process.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Food Sorting prior to start of food pantry.
  • Provide senior citizens with stock boxes
  • Assist families with selecting food for their families.
  • Assist families with concerns as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Weekly
  • Wednesday & Thursday
  • 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • (2 to 3 hours per day).

Mission Statement

To provide food and other groceries and appropriate counseling as necessary, to individuals and families in the 53206 area code in Milwaukee County who are hungry, unable to buy food, or otherwise in need of groceries that they are unable to buy for themselves.

Description

We are an organization partnered with Hunger Task Force to help eradicate hunger issues within the 53206 area code. We serve over 300 families each month. We are looking to incorporate additional community services in order to improve the impoverished circumstances within the community.
