Email Marketing Specialist
Job Title: Email Marketing Specialist
Department: Volunteer Services
Schedule: One day a week, 1 hour per shift
Reports To: Marketing Coordinator
General Scope: Responsible for crafting mass emails for marketing purposes. This would involve creating the email, verbiage, uploading images, including links, and sending test emails for a variety of campaigns. Following the Service Enterprise Organization model, this volunteer will assist the marketing team.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
Specific Job Skills:
- Knowledge of Mailchimp or similar platform
- Ability to work well with staff, fellow volunteers and the public as needed to support SICSA’s mission.
- Willingness to learn.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Working knowledge of how to use a computer.
Preferred Background Education and/or Experience:
- Preferred knowledge of Mailchimp or similar platform
- Current SICSA member in good standing.
- Volunteers are encouraged to continuously expand knowledge & skills by attending courses through Paws & Tails University.
- We will train anyone willing to learn.

In 1974, a group of dedicated individuals committed to offering Kettering Ohio, Dayton and the Miami Valley an alternative to the traditional animal welfare system, came together and created the Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals (SICSA).
For over 40 years, people in the Miami Valley have supported SICSA in a partnership of caring to build a strong humane animal community.
