The Red Cross is seeking Volunteer Drivers to transport secured boxes of blood and blood products in their own vehicle from local blood drives to the North Portland office of the Red Cross for processing or to drive a Red Cross vehicle from the North Portland office to local hospitals. Help save lives by getting our blood donations to those in need!
TIME COMMITMENT
*Variable; preferred commitment of two to three shifts per month for at least six months.
* Week-day Volunteers Highly Needed!
REQUIRED TRAINING
* American Red Cross Volunteer Orientation (provided)
* Transportation Specialist Training (provided)
* Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required for all In-Person Activities
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
*Good communication skills
*At least three years of driving experience
*Clean driving record, access to vehicle and insurance
*Comfortable driving in various weather and traffic conditions.
