Networks Supported Living Services is a program of Enable, Inc. designed to provide case management to individuals with disabilities allowing them to live independently. Services focus on self-reliance and self-determination as the cornerstone for success.

As required by our contract with the Department of Developmental Services, Networks has formed a Human Rights Committee to assist us to affirm, promote and protect the human and civil rights of the individuals served and to monitor and review the activities of the agency with regard to the human and civil rights of those individuals.

The duties of the Human Rights Committee include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and reviewing the authorization and use of all limitations on movement
  • Monitoring and reviewing the means utilized by Networks to inform individuals, staff, guardians an families of an individual’s rights
  • Monitoring and reviewing the means utilized by Networks to train individuals in the exercise of their rights
  • Reviewing policies and procedures annually for compliance with DDS’s regulations on human rights
  • Visiting the locations where services are provided while they are being provided
  • Reviewing incident reports and investigations into accusations of abuse, neglect, exploitation or omission

Networks is currently looking for a physician or nurse to volunteer to be a member of our Human Rights Committee.

The Human Rights Committee typically meets for approximately 1-2 hours at 9:00AM on a business day once per quarter (January, April, July, and October) at the Networks office located in Canton, MA.

Description

Enable, Inc. provides a variety of educational, social, and therapeutic services children, families and adults. These services, which are individually centered, family-focused, and delivered in a developmental context, enable individuals to realize their potential. Our programs include an early intervention program for children birth to three , a family stabilization program, four childcare centers, a large family childcare system, a regional early childhood mental health consultation program and a supported living servicesthat provides assistance to adults who have become disabled through illness or injury and young adults with physical disabilities who are transitioning to community, enabling them to living independently in their respective community.

Our agency was established in the late 1970's and are well regarded for the quality of programs provided and our adherence to our mission statement noted above and nine values which are integrated into the policies and daily operations of the entire agency. This applies to the quality of interaction between and among clients, staff, supervisors, and programs. The nine values include respect, family, developmental approach, system approach, outreach, empowerment, community integration, responsiveness to change and leadership.
