The front information desk volunteer will assist citizens on where they need to go within the building, they will learn how to look up cases in our system to tell people if and when their court date is. They will need to have a good understanding of how the courts work and where people need to go for certain things. This volunteer opportunity would be great for someone entering into or thinking about entering into the legal workforce. This opportunity will give you general experience and knowledge of the inter-workings of a courthouse.

Genesee County Circuit Court is a division of the state judiciary system. Our mission is to administer justice within our jurisdiction, in by doing so we strive to provide information and guidance to litigants and the general public for whatever brings them to the courthouse.
Description
The Genesee County Circuit Court has several different departments within itself to better assist its citizens. The circuit court not only handles all felony cases arising within its jurisdiction but also handles all civil and family court matters. All of the different departments within the circuit court work collectively to ensure effectiveness.
