Join in on the Thursday night action and help facilitate weekly Art Socialization gatherings. During these lively meetings, volunteer facilitators help attendees experience self-expression through craftwork, while networking with their peers. The Art & Crafts Facilitator’s tasks include:

  • Prepping and setting up arts and crafts activity before the afternoon session
  • Providing directions/guiding participants as they complete art project
  • Cleaning up and organizing supplies as needed

No art experience necessary. Group meets every Thursday. Volunteers are asked to commit to two hours per week (2:45pm-4:45pm) for a minimum of one month. For more information, please contact Evette Watson at csbvolunteer@fairfaxcounty.gov.

Description

When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
