Looking for a way to pass the Saturday that is fun and unique? Try serving with us at our Discovery Saturday programming! Engage in fun and creativity in our Maker’s Space, where we will have hands-on crafts and demonstrations to match the theme of the program. Volunteers will get to enjoy a planetarium show at the end of their shift. For these events, we are looking for individuals who are comfortable engaging children and are personable to assist with the following tasks:

  • Assisting with event set-up, including some minor activity preparations
  • Oversee and engage guests in the Discovery Exhibit
  • Assisting with hands-on craft projects and demonstrations for kids aged pre-K to middle school
  • Assisting with event takedown, including putting away craft supplies, resetting the Maker’s Space and taking out the trash

Discovery Saturdays are the fourth Saturday of each month with two 2.5-hour shifts available. The first shift runs from 9:30am-12:00pm and the second shift runs from 12:00pm-2:30pm. You can register for your preferred event and shift by following the link below.
