Habitat for Humanity ReStore Customer Service Volunteer Opportunity
Volunteers are needed to sit at the front counter of our ReStores to welcome customers, answer questions, cashier and especially to answer our busy phones. This is a fun, social position that does not require any heavy lifting or detailed knowledge about home repairs.
You would be the first contact customers have with our stores but don’t need to have all the answers, since a manager will always be in the store to help. As a cashier, volunteers are also responsible for ringing up sales, running credit/debit transactions and when the store isn’t busy, will sometimes have other office work.
Habitat ReStores sell donated home improvement items, construction materials, tools & furniture at discounted prices. These stores are a critical part of Habitat and ensure that we can assist very-low and low income families in our County in purchasing a new home or maintaining the home they currently own.
Our ReStores, located in Paso Robles & San Luis Obispo, are open Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm. No prior experience is needed; all training is provided. If you enjoy meeting new people and have an outgoing personality, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County strives to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Description
HFHSLOCO was established in 1997 and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. San Luis Obispo County is one of the least affordable small metropolitan areas in the nation according to the National Association of Home Builders. The County is in a severe affordable housing crisis as low income workers have extreme difficulty finding affordable homes to live in. To address this housing need, HFHSLOCO uses volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money, materials, and services to build homes that are affordable to very-low and low-income families, maintaining the existing affordable housing stock, and revitalize communities through its Neighborhood Revitalization efforts.
