Virtual Office Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator
Using Google Non-profit Volunteer Suite and our drive, virtual office assistant and volunteer coordinator will work directly with the Director and administrative staff to complete tasks critical to the organization on a daily and long-term basis. Primary tasks will involve compiling data from program evaluations and surveys, compiling new volunteer information into our database, communicating with volunteers, updating mailing lists on excel spreadsheets, and maintaining volunteer records.
If this opportunity will fulfill an internship requirement, please be sure to discuss your goals so that we can ensure that it is a productive and positive experience for both parties. Please inform us of any schedule conflicts you may have, and any questions.
With the Covid Pandemic, all Art Sphere Inc. face 2 face free educational programs for low income youth were shut down and students in already challenging circumstances suddenly had even less access to education and the arts which help promote healing in stressful times. ASI 's response was to offer free lesson plans daily on our social media and now to make online video instruction available for free for preschool - high school students on our website and shared via social media. It is our goal to make and provide over 200 teaching videos and lesson plans and 20 lesson plan books and 200 handouts to over 800 youth online via social media.
We are currently recruiting experts as well as novices at video and teaching as we have a video team (to assist in training and provide editing services) and certified teachers (to help train volunteers to write and edit lesson plans).
Before the Covid, ASI arts programs were located at various schools and recreation centers including: Towey Recreation Center, Penn Treaty School, Southwark School, Cione Recreation Center, Fishtown Recreation Center, Samuels Recreation Center, Glavin Recreation Center, and Dendy Recreation Center. Many of our inner city students are from low-income communities that could use hope, release of stress, exercise and joy that movement, dance, music, creativity, mindfulness and self-expression that the arts provide. When this pandemic is over, we look forward to meeting you in person at our office located at the Bok building in South Philadelphia to celebrate!
