Volunteer opportunites are available for those interested in supporting our mission to improve the lives of individuals impacted by disabilities and unique challenges through equine activities and therapies. Volunteers side walk mounted individuals for safety. Horse leaders ensure the horses are properly handled during class.

Mission Statement

Through equine assisted therapies and activities, Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship (CTRH) serves children and adults with disabilities and unique challenges, helping them to achieve a greater quality of life.

Description

Since 1985, we have served Greater Cincinnati participants with a variety of disabilities including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, developmental delay, ADD, ADHD, stroke, visual and hearing impairments, and mental health issues.

CTRH provides group riding lessons and hippotherapy to children and adults with disabilities in the Greater Cincinnati area. We are committed to the principle that persons with disabilities are entitled to the same opportunities and rights as their non-disabled peers.

We are proud to be a Premier Accredited Operating Center of PATH, Intl., the national organization that sets the standards for therapeutic riding centers worldwide.

  • Volunteers must be able to walk for 45 minutes and occasionally jog for very short distances.
