Hello Volunteers!

Thanks so much for your willingness to help us at Magnuson Park Community Food Pantry. We are looking for ambassadors to help us every Wednesday (starting August 14, 2019) from 10am - 3pm. The tasks include:

  • Provide a warm welcome to residents and community members visiting the food pantry
  • Move food products from storage to distribution and provide event set-up and tear-down

Description

Mercy Housing is working to create a more humane world where poverty is alleviated, communities are healthy and all people can develop their full potential.

We believe that affordable housing and supportive programs improve the economic status of residents, transform neighborhoods and stabilize lives. Mercy Housing has developed and currently owns 46 properties (1,818 rental homes) throughout Washington, from Puget Sound cities like Bellingham, Everett, Lynnwood, Seattle, Kent, Tacoma and Olympia to central and eastern Washington towns like Yakima, Chelan and Cheney.

We utilize a Service-Enriched Housing model, to help families achieve stability and then to enhance that stability. We accomplish this through dedicated and highly-motivated staff, extensive community partnerships, and a focus on programs that contribute to resident success and outcomes that can be measured.
