VOLUNTEERS NEEDED | CHILD CREATIVITY LAB COMMUNITY MAKERSPACE
Creativity flows best when you have the right environment -- Help us make our space a better place! Every week, we need volunteers to work with children at our open, free-build workshops where kids get to exercise their own creativity. Also, we could use help with sorting our material donations, organizing our storage room, and enhancing our Community Makerspace and Depot for Creative Reuse. Maximum of 4 volunteers at a time. No prior experience necessary!
Open Studio Volunteer Role:
- Last Saturday of the month, 9:45AM--12:30PM
- Requests to volunteer must be sent at least 24 hours in advance for confirmation from us
- Dress appropriately-what would be acceptable at an elementary school (no flip flops, short shorts, bare midriffs, tight-fitting or low-cut tops, shirts with foul language or graphics, etc.)
- Assist with set-up & clean-up
- Hot glue students’ creations, praise them for their ideas & creativity
- Serve as a role model for the children (be happy, positive, speak kindly, don’t be on phone, talk with other volunteers too much, etc.)
- Assist staff with sorting and/or organizing of materials
- Have fun!
