Together, we will explore our own differences in experiences of privilege, power, and oppression as these experiences impact our self-confidence and our response to perceived success or failure. Participants will learn about the concept of personal efficacy-the ability to effect courses and outcomes in your life-and the impact
that marginalization can have on one’s ability to achieve and maintain personal efficacy. Through reflection, examples, and exercises, this experiential training illustrates the impact that personal efficacy can have in empowering you to make positive and effective choices in your life, while teaching techniques to help nurture
personal efficacy among the people in your life. This training is designed to help community members become stronger allies for, with, and among our neighbors transitioning from incarceration.

Mission Statement
To empower communities by creating spaces that welcome and support our neighbors transitioning from incarceration.
Description
THRIVE Communities seeks through its mission to address the challenges faced by men and women as they return from prison to public society, particularly the challenge of connection to community, including underlying racial and economic stress and disparities, negative stigma and distrust, and the institutionalization of returning citizens.
With your support, THRIVE will disrupt cycles of incarceration, isolation, and social harm by organizing and supporting grassroots efforts for restorative reentry, community building, and leadership development among those most impacted by incarceration. This community-based response to the challenges of reentry will help communities learn how to heal themselves and address systemic barriers to reentry.
Why? Because when wholeness and justice replace cycles of incarceration and oppression, communities THRIVE.
