Most of our volunteer day will be focusing on garden tasks such as weeding, planting, harvesting, and other jobs necessary for our garden to thrive! Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes that you do not mind getting dirty! We will supply gloves and all the of garden equipment. If you have gardening experience or are willing to learn some basics to support this awesome plot of land... come out and show Geer some support. The Food Shuttle is can function only with volunteer support and we can use your help!

We engage communities facing hunger to understand their unique needs and barriers. Then by building relationships and engaging our neighbors, we create programs and initiatives that meet specific needs, breaking the cycles of poverty, restoring dignity and improving the health of our community. We have served the seven counties of central NC for over 32 years and are a member of the Feeding America network of 200 food banks across the nation.
