Please visit the new page to apply.
Developmental Disabilities Service Organization operates Capitol Books and Gifts (CBG), the gift shop of the California State Capitol Museum in the lower level of the Capitol building.
CBG sells gifts, books, and souvenirs of the Capitol and all things California. Proceeds go towards services that help people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We also sell original artwork, jewelry, and scarves made by artists in DDSO's art studios, and the artists earn a commission.
The volunteer will help restock shelves, assist the sales associate with wrapping and bagging customers purchases, and give out chocolate samples to family tourists and travel groups. One volunteer is needed for Sundays, 11 am - 3 pm. The museum experience is fun and educational, and the gift shop is an extension of the visitor's museum visit.
