The Walk to End Alzheimer's Vancouver is the largest fundraising and awareness-building event in SW Washington in the fight to end Alzheimer's. We hope to have more than 900 registered participants, so there are a lot of EVENT DAY VOLUNTEER duties needing to be filled, such as registration, set-up, tear down, route monitors, cheer squads and many more.

Description
The Alzheimer’s Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. From its offices in Portland, Bend and Medford, the Oregon Chapter provides education and support for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. In addition, it offers local support groups, early-stage engagement programs, community education classes and a 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900).

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 12
- Orientation or Training
- Shift range in length from 2-to-3 hours, but individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts if they want. The event itself goes from 10 am to 1:30 pm, but volunteer needs begin at 7 am and end around 2:30 pm.
- Please let staff know if you have any physical requirements that may prevent you from lifting items or standing on your feet for extended periods of time...we can find you a role that fits your needs. Minors are welcome to help with adult supervision
