Volunteer Title: Enrichment Club Leaders & Assistants
Department: Children’s Education
Reports To: Education Associate/Director of Children’s Education
Summary: Club leaders are responsible for facilitating a specialized enrichment club for Wesley-Rankin students and communicating with assistant on program facilitation needs
Key Duties:
- Develop specialized curriculum of club to present to students
- Engaging students who have expressed interest in club activities and providing hands on experiences that promote further learning opportunities
- Supervise students attending club and promote safety and respect in collaboration with AmeriCorps staff and/or volunteer assistants
- Cleaning and tidying of the center following club activities in a timely manner
Qualifications: Age 14+, self-motivated, interested in expanding horizons of Wesley-Rankin students to new activities, ability to work well with children, friendly, willing to go above and beyond to help, able to abide by directions well
Time Commitment: Volunteers will be able to set a weekly schedule - clubs take place from 5:00 to 6:00PM - for their respective club for the semester, consistency is best for our students.
Must commit to at least 4 shifts a month (leaders and assistants)

Wesley Rankin Community Center encourages education and community fellowship by offering a wide variety of programs for all ages. We offer GED/Parenting classes, computer literacy classes for adults, Elementary and Youth After-School programs, a Senior Citizen Program, and much more.
We know community transformation takes place when we are able to open our hearts to the fact that we all have something to teach and learn. At this Center of Community, we welcome diversity, sharing, and the common work for equity.
