Do you have time on your hands and want to get involved in helping us educate people who are dealing with mental health issues?
Are you a multi-tasker? Detail-oriented?
Do you enjoy coordinating multiple responsibilities?

If so, our Education Program Assistant is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Help NAMI Staff with:

  • Coordinating teacher commitments for NAMI Clackamas Family to Family and Peer to Peer classes
  • Registering program participants for classes (currently on Zoom) and managing the waitlist
  • Sending class materials out to students via email and mail
  • Ordering books, having supplies packed and ready for teachers and managing inventory of supplies (once in person classes resume)
  • Processing registration forms, evaluation forms, and program participant lists
  • Creating class roster and attendance sheet and sending to teachers
  • Facilitating communication between NAMI National, NAMI Oregon, and the Clackamas County affiliate, teachers, presenters, and venue representatives
  • Determine the location and venue of classes (once in-person classes resume)
  • Keeping teaching materials updated

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • 6 months minimum, longer preferred. Time commitment varies 5-10 hrs/week depending on classes (classes start quarterly) Flexible hours, tasks can be done from home, until we reopen & inperson classes resume. Then time in the office will be necessary.
  • 6 month minimum commitment, longer preferred. Must be able to do some of the tasks in a quick turnaround time period, sometimes daily in the weeks prior to start of class. Must be detail oriented, responsive, reliable and computer proficient.
