Are you an advocate for mental health?
Do you have time on your hands and want to get involved in helping us educate Middle and High School youth about mental health and removing the stigma?
Are you a multi-tasker? Detail-oriented?
Do you enjoy coordinating multiple responsibilities?

If so, our Youth Education Program Assistant is the opportunity for you!

This requires a minimum of a 6 month commitment, preferably longer.

Responsibilities:

Help NAMI Staff with:

  • Coordinating schedule, logistics and materials for our youth presentations at local middle and high schools. May require being at the location during the presentations
  • Having supplies packed and ready for presentations. Will require coming into the office.
  • Keeping presentation materials updated and stocked.
This opportunity is best for someone that has flexible time availability during weekday morning and afternoon hours.
Must live in the Portland, OR area and able to commute to Milwaukie and surrounding areas.

  • 6 months minimum, longer preferred. Time commitment varies. Approx. 5 hrs./week Some tasks can be done from home, others will require time in the office and out at schools in the community.
  • 6 month minimum commitment, longer preferred. Must be able to do some of the tasks in a quick turnaround time period. Must be detail oriented, responsive, reliable and computer proficient.
