Volunteers are needed to support classroom instruction. Classroom assistants support instruction in the classroom and work under the direction and support of the classroom instructor. Volunteers are not responsible to design lessons. They may work in small groups within the classroom to support the student. The volunteer classroom assistant does not need a Bachelor’s Degree but does need a High School Diploma.

Volunteer Classroom Assistants in the high school diploma classroom must be able to support high school content (reading, math, and writing) and English-as-a-Second Language must be able to support English language learners (reading, writing and speaking).
