Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) provides Valet Bike Parking at each Levi's event. Valet Bike Parking is one of many ways that SVBC encourages people to bike to public events. Please note: your specific date and time you've signed up too ; ). Please read more here: http://www.levisstadium.com/events/category/tickets/.

Volunteers at the Valet Bike Parking for Levi's events are key members of the team. It is with your help that Valet Bike Parking is possible. From set up, to welcoming our clients & their bikes, securely storing and watching their bikes, to rolling the bikes back to their owners, to advocating for SVBC's mission and much more! Your volunteering, supports SVBC in running successful programs and advocacy while striving to create a healthy community, environment, and economy through bicycling for people who live, work, or play in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.

So thank you in advance!

Shifts

There will be two volunteer shifts for the event:

Shift Hours: 1) 9:45am - 1:00pm; and

2) 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

What to Expect: Come have FUN and meet new friends! Involves event set up or set down, registration of our client's bikes, storing and securing these bicycles, keeping a watchful eye during the event, happily returning them to the attendees after the event and with ample time for you to talk to the members of the community. A warm meal will be provided for volunteers.

You may reserve volunteer spots by registering one ticket per volunteer (e.g. if you would like to bring 3 volunteers from your group, you need to register their name (or your's as a place holder) for each ticket). Please try to be as accurate as possible. If you do not end up needing all of the tickets you originally registered for, please notify the Community Projects Manager at kate@bikesiliconvalley.org as soon as possible. If you sign up for a shift, please let us know if things change as early asap. This helps us to try and fill the spot well before the event.

Qualifications

Volunteers will need to be able to comfortably move tables and chairs (can be done in pairs) and remain on their feet for the majority of their shift. Volunteers aged 13 to 18, who are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian are required to bring a signed waiver form (below) to the Event Lead the day of the event. Volunteers under the age of 13 must also be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to volunteer.

Parents/Guardians, if your child is coming with you to volunteer, the expectation is that they can be independent and support the bike parking program without your need to supervise them the entire time. You will be working together but must be able to leave them unattended at times. If you are unsure if this is an age appropriate volunteer activity for your child, please do not hesitate to contact the Community Programs Manager.
