Be part of the excitement of the more than 4,000 runners/walkers who participate in San Francisco's Bridge to Bridge 5k and 12k, named "America’s most beautiful run" by Sports Illustrated. Over 200 volunteers help throughout the event, at registration in front of the Ferry Building, water stations that wind throughout the city, and finish line activities at the Marina Green.

Special Olympics Northern California is the beneficiary of proceeds raised from this event, and helps us provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our programs provide our athletes with ongoing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

For most positions, minimum volunteer age is 10, with parent/guardian supervision required for volunteers 10 to 13 years of age.

This is a large, fun event for which we'd be really glad to have your help! Thank you for your support of Special Olympics.
