Little Red Door is excited to partner with The Color Run team this year for their Indianapolis Color Run 5k on Saturday, August 17 th! As a benefitting charity partner of the 5k, we are in need of volunteers to help out with the event. There are a variety of shifts to choose from for the event. Please see the details below:
Event: The Indianapolis Color Run 5k
Location: The Historic Military Park at White River State Park

Description and Times:
- CHECK-IN PARTY (10:30am-3:00pm or 2:30pm-7:30pm)- The Check-In Party takes place the day before the event (Friday, August 16 th) and has a morning shift & an afternoon shift. You can sign up for either one, whichever works best for you! This is where runners check in & grab their kits. The volunteers assist with assembling kits, checking runners in, handing out kits, and helping in the on-site store.
- RACE DAY CHECK-IN (6:30am-10:30am) - This will consist of checking runners in and giving them their kits (like the day before), except that we collect $5 per kit to check in at the event.
- RACE DAY (7:00am-12:00pm)- This is where we need the bulk of volunteers. Positions could include helping at the start line, handing water out, cheering runners on at the finish line, throwing color, or assisting in the festival area.
- RACE DAY CLEAN UP (10:00am-3:00pm) - The clean-up crew makes it possible for us to keep holding these events! On the day after the race (Sunday, August 18 th), volunteers will help sweep the course & festival areas, making sure they are clear of all debris, litter, and color.

Fighting cancer is tough enough, but it's even harder when you don't have medical insurance or the resources to afford proper care. Little Red Door Cancer Agency strives to make the most of life and the least of cancer by reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of cancer for the medically underserved residents of central Indiana.
Description
Little Red Door offers a variety of free services including screening and detection, client service, education and client navigation. We schedule and facilitate free year-round screenings for Breast, Cervical, and Prostate Cancer. We provide several free programs including transportation to and from treatment, wigs, breast prostheses and bras, incontinence supplies, ostomy and medical supplies and free nutrition supplements. We also offer Camp Little Red Door, a week long camp for Indiana children ages 8 to 18 who are battling cancer or are in remission. We also work to "fill in the gaps" for breast clients by offering services including, but not limited to providing contact and program information for local and national resources that help address basic needs.
