The Calvin Center is a PATH intl. Premiere Accredited Therapeutic Riding Facility. We rely on nearly 100 volunteers each week to assist with our lesson program and care for our herd of very special horses.
We are looking to expand our volunteer base and would love for you to join us! No horse experience necessary- just a willing spirit ready to learn (and work outside!)
Volunteers are responsible for a wide range of activities. This includes, but is not limited to, feeding the horses, leading and sidewalking during lessons, assisting the instructor, and completing chores around the barn.
We hold regular volunteer orientations. Attendance is a required.

Description
Calvin Center is a year round camp, conference and retreat center. The Equestrian program provides therapeutic riding for youth and adults with disabilities, hippotherapy with occupational therapist or speech/language pathologist, recreational riding lessons, group trail rides and summer horse camps.

- Ideally, volunteers sign up for a weekly shift at a time that is convenient for them.
- To assist with lessons, volunteers should be able to lift 50lbs, walk for 30 minutes, and jog 100 yards comfortably.
