Please help support Gleaners as we partner with the Kroger Zero Hunger Emergency Food Drive! Local Police Officers and State Troopers are helping us collect non-perishable food donations onsite at participating Kroger Store on Saturday, July 27 and August 3rd. Help to fill a Patrol vehicle with food supporting our food bank families in need!
Friendly volunteers are needed to inform customers about the food drive, assist with collecting donations, and thank the donors. This position requires that you are able to stand for several hours. Volunteers must be at least ten years old, students must volunteer with a responsible adult.

Description
For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
