To provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with developmental dissabilities, giving them the continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills,and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community
Description
Children and adults with developmental dissabilities train and compete in 20 different sports depending on season. Special Olympics athletes never pay a fee to train or compete. Special Olympics is a volunteer based organization.
