Mission Statement

To educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, understand business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.

Description

Junior Achievement is a business/Education partnership where volunteers teach students K-12 about the free enterprise system using a pre-designed curriculum.

Our mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. At Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, we provide hands-on experiential programs that teach children in the Clark County School District the key concepts of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. ! Through our proven curriculum that is designed on a national level to align with Common Core and state standards our hundreds of business volunteers each year share the life skills that make a difference in our children’s future. Junior Achievement’s programs focus on three pillars; financial literacy (how to be smart with your money and credit), how to be ready to join the workforce and how to think like an entrepreneur/business person. At an even deeper level, Junior Achievement programs tie what kids are learning in the classroom back to their future and inspire them to dream about who they will become.
