A volunteer and I just left an activity with seniors and she said to me, " I was kind of blah today, but after that I feel great!" I know exactly what she means. Singing, dancing, playing games and reminiscing with seniors brought spirit back into both our lives and to those with whom we work. It can do this for you too!
We are looking for volunteers to join our activity group who enjoy bringing smiles to seniors. We have a team that bops around to various long term care facilities in North Kansas City, St Joe and Platte City, who organize and run an activity for residents.
From sing-a-longs, interactive memory games, remembering and sharing the past, the opportunity to get moving from their chair to a chance to make something by hand, we ALWAYS have FUN!
To join us, you will need to attend Crossroads Hospice Volunteer Training to learn more about how seniors and their family manage end of life issues. We are offering a training at our Gladstone MO office on Saturday, August 10 and one in St Joseph MO on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
If the training does not work with your schedule, do not worry, let us come to you! Individual training is frequently arranged with those who are a distance from our offices or for whom the scheduled training does not work with their personal calendar. Just give us a call and let’s arrange to get together.
For More Information and to sign up for training, call Kathy Fetters at Crossroads Hospice 816-389-5426.

Mission Statement
Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to being at the forefront of the hospice care industry, to continually shape the way palliative care is viewed and administered so that everyone can expect more from us.
Description
Expect More From Us. We Do. Why not? That's a question we ask ourselves every day. In fact it is the question responsible for our beginning and has made us what we are today. Because "why not?" helps us find new and better ways to deliver hospice care to patients, families, caregivers, and health care professionals alike. It helps us connect with our communities, share our knowledge, be accessible 24/7, innovate, lead, and raise the bar. In fact "why not?" has helped us create a hospice experience we believe is second to none...and are confident you'll agree.
