Hospice Volunteers
We treasure our volunteers, as they enhance the quality of life by providing friendship/companionship and socialization to our sweet hospice patients. Volunteers focus on what is important to the individual patient, perhaps reading, playing music, playing games, sharing memories or participating in a special hobby.
Our patient resides in an upscale Residential Community in Irvine.
Please know that our hospice volunteers do not provide hands-on care; often the most important thing they do is just "be there" for patients to reassure them they are not alone, to hold a hand, to offer a smile, or to just listen. The personal rewards are enormous, and volunteers usually feel they gain more than they have been able to give.
We only ask for 2 one-hour visits per month, and our training is comprehensive yet easy!
Also Important, we work with your schedule/availability and your strengths; rest assured we have a place for you on our volunteer team!
Please email our Volunteer Coordinator to get the ball rolling: ggbestvol@gmail.com!
