The NCSML strives to be a good community partner, part of that includes offering a family free day each year. Join us for some fun and partake in a community-oriented event!
We will be open from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm for a day full of 80s themed activities based on our exhibit Revolution 1989: The Year That Shook Communism. The 1980s were a time of crazy change from increased technology to the fall of Communism. The event offers a full day of family-friendly activities, tasty food, and music. Guests enjoy free admission for the whole family to the NCSML’s exhibit galleries.
Volunteer opportunities can include groups, pairs or individuals. Consider volunteering with a friend or family member and share the memories forever! The NCSML will provide snacks and drinks for all volunteers.
Volunteer shifts are either 9:15am-1pm or 12:45-4:30pm. (But we are flexible)
Opportunities include:
- Craft table attendant in our Faces of Freedom Exhbit: This is your chance to play all day, fill supplies and interact with kids to create a 80s era-inspired crafts.
- Musuem Greeters: Greet guests as they enter and assist them with wayfinding and general information. This is a great way to visit with guests and celebrate what we do at the NCSML. (will require regular standing)
