VITAS Healthcare is looking for licensed hairstylists who are interested in sharing their time and talents to provide haircuts to homebound hospice patients. Hair care volunteers are needed throughout Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee County . Volunteers must be currently licensed in Florida as a cosmetologist (and provide ongoing proof of current licensure). Dependable transportation will be required. VITAS Healthcare will provide training and orientation. Most, but not all, of our patients are senior citizens and hair care must be limited to haircuts only, no perms or colors.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare(r), providing friendly, non-medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteer for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in your community throughout Saint Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee County.
